Portable Hardness Testing for Large and Heavy Components
The N4 is a portable Rockwell hardness tester designed for fast and reliable hardness testing directly on large, heavy and difficult-to-move components. Using the proven Rockwell hardness testing principle, it delivers accurate and repeatable hardness measurements without cutting, sectioning or transporting the workpiece.
Its lightweight yet robust clamping frame allows the tester to be mounted directly on the component, making it ideal for on-site hardness testing in production, maintenance and quality control. By bringing the hardness tester to the workpiece, inspection times are reduced, machine downtime is minimized and destructive testing can often be avoided.
The N4 is available in different frame sizes to accommodate a wide range of workpiece dimensions and geometries. Depending on the selected configuration, it supports Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Brinell depth (HBT), Vickers depth (HVT) and Ball Indentation Hardness Testing (ISO 2039-1), providing maximum flexibility for different testing requirements.
