The N7 portable gear hardness testers are designed for fast and reliable hardness verification directly on gear teeth and gear flanks. Based on the proven Rockwell HR62.5 principle, they provide accurate HRC hardness measurements without cutting, sectioning or transporting the workpiece.
Unlike conventional hardness testing methods, the N7 allows hardness verification directly on finished gears, reducing inspection time, eliminating destructive testing and minimizing machine downtime. A robust clamping system ensures stable positioning and repeatable measurement conditions directly on the component.
Two models are available to cover different gear sizes and applications:
- N7F for small and medium-sized gears
- N7P for large gears and heavy-duty industrial applications
This allows manufacturers to perform reliable hardness testing directly after heat treatment or during production and maintenance.
